Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SudoPrivateClips (“SudoPrivateClips,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the SudoPrivateClips apps and hosted service (the “Service”), which turn long-form videos into short, captioned clips and can publish them to destinations you connect.
Information We Collect
Account information.
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or credentials from an auth provider). We do not store plaintext passwords.
Content you provide.
To generate clips, we process the video URLs you submit and any video files you upload. We store the resulting clips, transcripts, captions, and related processing metadata so you can view, edit, export, and publish them. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you submit.
Connected social accounts.
If you connect platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook, we store OAuth tokens and account identifiers needed to publish on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted and used only for the permissions you grant.
Billing information.
If paid plans are offered, payments may be processed by a payment processor (for example Stripe). We do not store your full card number.
Usage, device, and log data.
We collect session identifiers, IP address, and basic technical logs to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service—process videos and generate, edit, export, and publish clips.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions when applicable.
- Send transactional email (sign-up, completion notices, billing).
- Maintain, debug, secure, and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Service Providers & Subprocessors
We share data with vendors that process it on our behalf, only as needed to provide the Service, such as transcription, AI/LLM providers, payment processing, email delivery, hosting, and social platforms you connect for publishing.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Your tasks, uploaded videos, and generated clips are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Temporary processing files are deleted automatically after processing. We may retain limited records as required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Your Rights & Choices
You can access and update your account information in the app, delete tasks and clips, disconnect social destinations, and request account deletion by contacting privacy@sudoprivateclips.com.
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and encrypted storage of OAuth tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable measures.
International Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
